Born in Greenwich in Q4-1920, youngest son of George Frederick PLANT CBE BA and Frances Carrie Sophie (Kathleen) PLANT (née FISHER) of 73 Grove,Park Road, Mottingham,Kent. Frank's address in the burial register was Brookside, Cambridge. He was stationed in Cambridge and with a rank of Lance Corporal.

Frank was on operations that night and was run over by a bren gun carrier on the Newmarket-Barton Mills road near Freckenham. He died of his injuries that day in White Lodge Emergency Hospital, Newmarket.


Frank is buried in Newmarket Cemetery in grave P:437
